A pre-selected stunning San Antonio location will be our backdrop, and I'll provide wardrobe and preparation guidance to help you have a smooth session. You simply show up with the ones you love, and enjoy that moment together. I will guide you through the rest.

Hi, I'm Ally Margain
For me, genuine connection beats 'perfection' every time. You don't need children who sit perfectly still. You don't need a husband who loves having his photograph taken. And you definitely don't need to wait until you look a certain way.
As a mom of three, I know things are rarely ever perfect. We'll make the photograph where everyone looks beautiful. Then we'll make the ones that feel like you.
I'll provide direction throughout our time together, but know I'm not looking for everyone to always look into my camera. I'm looking for the familiar things. The way your child reaches for you. The laugh that happens right after being told not to laugh. The way your family just fits together.

What happens if my children don't cooperate?
They're children. I don't expect them to.
We'll move, play, redirect when necessary, and work with who your children actually are rather than trying to make them behave like tiny adults for twenty minutes.
If your family would benefit from more time to settle in—particularly with very young children—the full Portrait Experience may be a better fit.
What should we wear for our session?
You'll receive a preparation and wardrobe guide before your session with recommendations for creating a coordinated look without everyone feeling overly matched.
Petite sessions don't include individualized wardrobe styling, but you'll have clear guidance to help you prepare.
Where will sessions take place?
Each Petite Portrait Event takes place at a predetermined outdoor location selected for its light, landscape, and seasonal character.
I will provide exact meeting details to booked families before their session.
What happens if it rains?
Because these sessions depend on natural light and outdoor conditions, I'll monitor the weather closely.
If conditions require postponing an event, booked families will receive details about the designated rescheduling option.
What happens if we arrive late to our session?
Because Petite Portraits are scheduled consecutively, sessions must begin and end at their reserved times.
Please plan to arrive early enough to have everyone ready before your scheduled start.
When will we receive our photographs?
You'll receive a private proofing gallery 1 week after your session. From there, you'll select the 10 photographs included with your collection.
Your selections will then receive individual final retouching before we deliver your finished high-resolution files.
Can I purchase more than 10?
Absolutely. Additional individual photographs and a complete gallery upgrade will be available after you view your proofing gallery.
Are Petite Portraits only for families?
The seasonal Petite Portrait events are designed primarily for families, but they also work beautifully for couples, motherhood, and simple milestone portraits.
For maternity, lifestyle newborn photography or sessions that require more variety and time, I recommend the full Portrait Experience.
